Lava Hot Springs

I couldn't leave out pictures so this post is huge. We started our Ivins' Yellowstone vacation off with a bang! We stopped at Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. The water was warm, the weather was nice and of course the pool is ALWAYS a hit with these deprived Blanding kids (we have a pool in Blanding...but they always appreciate another pool anywhere they can go...especially if it has slides and a fun area)

Once Tyler and Shawn caught wind of the Olympic size platforms...they were on a mission to jump off the highest tower. They almost got kicked out cause they didn't have wrist bands saying they signed the waivers that in case they die going 30 miles an hour into the water, I wasn't going to sue the pool. We finally found the actually kiddie area - and the water was even warmer and it was inside so once the littles saw that...we were all in Heaven - kids AND moms! We had lunch and stayed all day! Then we were off to Ashton, Idaho to find our cabin.
Getting all sunscreened up!
Can you see Justin and the kids counting the train cars? We passed this train on the way up the canyon - and no one got a cood count, so Justin took it upon himself to count them. He always in counting everything. When we saw the train, the girls were so excited, but we were going behind a hill so we couldn't see it...Tyler was so dang cute and sped up to get around the hill so the girls could see it. We were all excited looking and it and I just said to Tyler "the things you do for your kids...just to see a train!"

How can you not love this picture?
Thank heavens for older cousins! We couldn't have survived this trip without them! Chez wouldn't play with anyone but Jessie.

Dylan was loving on McCoy until Dylan splashed Coy - then Coy was done with him! ha ha

Wyatt and his huge head.

Jessie and Chezney

Aspyn all geared up to go down the mini slide!
The platforms!
Tyler, Shawn and Jessie checking it out. Tyler about pooped his pants when he actually got up there and saw for himself how high it was.

Off goes Tyler and Shawn!

It's a looong wait time in the air. I did the 3rd platform when I was 15!!

The judges wouldn't have approved of the splashes.
Of course we have to have a little game of 500 hundred in the pool!

Now we stepped up to the bigger - little slide!

Daddy and Aspyn
Coy hanging out with a turtle!

We found the kiddie area. It was only 18 inches deep, so it was nice!
I love Chez's face! Too bad this guy is in the way.

Slide racing!
Oh. My. So. Cute!
Graceful...
Love this girl and her poses

Coy loved this water...cause it was warm and toasty!
Such a cute picture!

Aspyn and Adison preparing for the worst...they're nerds.
Chez and Wyatt truly are little buddies. It's so cute.

McCoy loved the little fountains.

Round two or three of platform jumping...don't know which one this was. He did it a lot. He even dived off the 2nd platform. He said it hurt. I watched him do it but by accident when I was taking the girls to the potty or else I would have gotten a photo!

They think they are so awesome!
David and Taylor
Tyler trying to do a Gainer flip. Javen was pretty dang good at them, so Tyler obviously thought he would be good at them too. He wasn't.
Nice landing.... ha ha ha
Then he went to back flips and they were much better! :)

McCoy and his stink bug crawl! He likes to be outside, but doesn't like to touch the grass. But he doesn't cry about it...he just figured out a new crawl.
Grandma holding  down the battle station so she can watch everybody while taking care of the littles and Justin (who was sick)
McCoy even took a nap on the grass! It was UNBELIEVABLE! The girls as babies never have done that. He is the most easy going baby ever!
