McCoy Blessing Day

What a handsome little boy
McCoy got to wear sneakers instead of church shoes...spoiled!

The entire ensemble and all made by Grandma Teresa. A shirt, vest, pants and tie. And not very happy to be taking sooo many pictures.
Cute kids on a special day. Aspyn was a little annoyed it was only McCoy's special day and not really hers. She loves a good party in honor of her!
Mom and my boy
What handsome boys!
Our amazing family of 5
There is the professional sewer with her 7th grandchild.
This is the first picture that I have of Grandma and McCoy together actually posing for a picture.

On December 1, 2013 we finally blessed McCoy Tyler Ivins(December 1st also happened to be the day Tyler was baptized and went through the Temple for the first time...so a special day for McCoy and Tyler). We tried to bless him clear back in September, but everyone was out of town for Labor Day. We knew October was out. November we talked about it, but DeAnn had her knee done so we couldn't do the 1st weekend, but the 2nd weekend, we decided to do it. Well...then it turns out Stake Conference was that weekend so almost 5 months after the kid was born, we blessed him. He was so handsome in his outfit, but looked a bit funny holding his head up on his own and looking so old, compared to a newborn when they are suppose to be blessed. He was all grown up. My mom came down for the occasion and made his little outfit. It turned out exactly how I wanted it. I wanted something plain and simple. We didn't' do a lunch either, because thanksgiving had been 3 days before and I didn't want to do a whole hoop-la...so it worked out in my favor not to go all out and have an excuse to be lazy. (Doesn't mean we don't love him any less cause we didn't have a lunch in his honor :) )

In the circle - Tyler, Keith, David, Justin, Shawn, Trent, Preston, Eric and Bishop Boyd. Tyler gave him a wonderful blessing. It talked a lot about learning, studying and coming to know and love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That someday he will teach it and he needs to be prepared. He also talked about his parents and family loved him and would help, love him and support him always and in the Gospel and learning the gospel. He talked about being an example. He gave him a blessing to continue to grow strong and to stay healthy.

We love our sweet sweet McCoy so so much at this house.
